You’ve got another problem, it scrolls alllll the way to the top of the page when you hit the reply button.
Would it be too much to request a version where the first post by each commenter is labeled as 1, and if follows the subsequent number there-after?
IE: I post a comment, it’s labeled as one, you reply its two. Someone below my comment leaves another comment, it too is labeled as one, so I can reply to that as 2, et cetra.. so on and so forth.
Ok, its something wrong with my javascript, i’ll try to fix. As for the numbers, its because of the theme rather than this plugin.

i use brian’s threaded comments on my blog now. it’s a great plugin. but i want two more features that it’s hardly to implement: one is add an ordinal number to every comment chronologically which can easily show readers the sequence. the other one is ajax commenting function. i have tried several times to find solutions, asked brian and other people who can program, but can’t achieve it, until i find your new plugin today. i read your post “Threaded/Nested Comments History and Beta 1″, and come here, i think you may be the guy who can help me to make my dream come true:)
though the plugin is in beta phase and not perfect yet, and not working in IE, i am still looking forward to your upgrade version to solve all these problems, and take out a new great plugin. i love threaded comment function, and i love ajax, too. i believe you can carry out those all.

Will you be adding notification function to this plugin? I’m not talking about subscribing to comments. I’m talking about a notification function where I’d get an email telling me someone replied to my comment. I’m not interested in knowing what other people have been saying unless it is a reply to a comment i made. Not sure if you get my point. For example, Alex has commented on my blog entry. Sam saw his comment and replied to it. Alex then gets an email telling him about Sam’s reply to his comment.
