Feather re-installation

In the previous post, Sanity fails, I never managed to find a fix to those problems.

However,  the solution for me is to reinstall feather which I will give a walkthrough below.

Steps at a glance

  1. Booting my feather usb (using bootimg1.1.img and rawritewin)
  2. Backup
  3. Installation
  4. Configuration

Easy workaround/fix for an AJAX problem

In a comment to my previous post  Navigation Calendar, I mentioned encountering problems using LiveCalendar when accessing my blog from different domains.

In the followup of comments by Jon (author of livecalendar) and Kae (the orginal kalendar author), we agreed that the problem is caused by a security protection prevent javascript to request calls to "other" sites.

And as I noticed, for many google sites that require ajax, they would redirect you to their perferred domain, thats where I thought a redirection would be a easy fix.

The addition of the redirection script was also a copy and paste from  http://www.chami.com/tips/internet/040598I.html

And you get redirected to my preferred url, so LiveCalendar seems to work without problem.

See my modifed kcalendarscript.phps source.

Possible next stop? auto-detection of permalinks for LiveCalendar.

Thursday Status

Wow, the days pass quickly. Another celebration marks the end of yesterday.

As for thursday, a few fun activities awaits me.

However, works doesnt stop, and I must continue.

For the current project, its at the transition from phrase 1 to phrase 2.

Have to do some flash and since I havnt touch flash like half to 1 year, I think I almost forget how to use it (couldnt even remember how to tween just now!).

Before this project has completed, I received a request for another project, this time perhaps more complex and would span a long period of time for completion. Seems to be a company subsidary or related to the goverment so not much details known for now.
