almost new, clean and unused were passed to me by my friend, classmate, project groupmate. Thanks! My Java book collection at home now totals to 3. The 1st is a torn, dog-eared, and old 2nd-hand Que Special Edition Java 1.0.
These new 2 books are Special Edition: Using Java 2 Enterprise Edition and Sun Java 2 Enterprise Edition Web Component Developer Exam both by published by QUE. These 2 books are also the recommend text for our Java Enterprise modules.
I wouldnt have guess Java would affect much in my life years ago. Over 5-10 years ago, when I wanted to pick up programming, people advised me to learn Java as it was getting popular. Advice ignored. In secondary 3, I went to Singapore Polytechnic for some programming course. I was supposed to attend the Java classes, but instead I ran away after the first lesson to the Pascal course.
If it was so important, surely I have to use it one day. Indeed, I couldnt escape Java in poly. 3 years touching java covering J2SE, J2ME, J2EE. Some in school call me the Java “Guy” or “Pro” , and I got Java 2 Certified Programmer, although I have rantings of “why Java” sometimes.
To date, I have coded more lines in Java then other languages, and the open source LilyTool project I’m in uses Java. Sometimes I feel like I could code like how Mozard churn scores, debug like how Beethoven scrutinise his music, but frankly, I’m just the bottom of mountains. Indeed, Java has an impact my life.
